We cannot delete a member,we can just Inactivate the user/member.
To Inactivate user/member :
     * On your homepage, “Click” on “manage users” and click on the user you want to inactivate.
     * Click on “Inactivate User”.
     * Popup will appear to warn you of their current status in the projects.
     * Click “ok” to remove the member.
